For more than 29 years, BSI A/S has been in the vanguard of precision manufacturing for the marine industry, selling products through a worldwide network of distributors. In 1999, CEO Carsten Friis, Sales Director Eric Quorning and Production Director Poul Bek purchased the company and embarked on a period of substantial growth and innovation.

BSI A/S has provided rod rigging to superyacht builders for more than a decade, and has demonstrated a commitment to growth and investment with a series of strategic acquisitions. Recognizing the potential growth in the superyacht market, BSI A/S in 2005 acquired Global BSI, a company respected throughout the industry for designing and manufacturing custom rigging systems featuring high-strength stainless steel alloys. In 2006, BSI A/S announced the acquisition of OYS Service Inc., and renamed the company Global Rigging Service Inc. Global RSI rounds of the superyacht rigging segment by providing annual maintanence, inspections and refit services worldwide.
