Overview:
The MD53A from Marine Data is an electromagnetic fluxgate compass which directly senses the Earth\u0092s magnetic field. The MD53A compass is based on a fluxgate coil device and has no moving parts. The MD53A provides digital NMEA 0183 heading data (HDT,HDG,HDM) when used with the Marine Data MD97/53 Compass Sensor Interface. Vessel heading may be transmitted to any location on the vessel and displayed with a MARINE DATA compass repeater. Magnetic corrections are applied with the Marine Data MD93 Variation and Deviation Corrector.
