MECHANICAL DRIVE TYPE RS W/RFU

For most, they believe the only solution to install an Autopilot or Jog Steering System on a mechanically steered boat is to convert the vessel to hydraulic steering. This is not true, the Octopus remote rotary Mechanical autopilot drives makes it easy and economical to install a Jog control (Octopus Intellisteer) or an automatic pilot on powerboats steered with mechanical push pull cable steering systems including Outboards, Sterndrives (I/O\u0092s) and Inboards.

Very simply, if a motorboat has a cable steering system, then the Octopus Mechanical drives will be powerful enough to steer the boat. The only restrictions and options being related to installation requirements are fully detailed in the installation guide.
The integrated Rudder Feedback unit is attached directly to the drive making for very simple installation.
