MAP Marine Technologies [MAP-Tech]: Australia exhibited their Unmanned Conversion System at Sydney International Boat Show Darling Harbour 2018.
NSW Government Minister for Roads NSW Maritime and Freight, Melinda Pavey was a keen observer in trying to better understand the technology given her role as Minister for Roads and Maritime services.
MAP-Tech’s Unmanning Kit easily converts any manned boat to an unmanned boat allowing the military, commercial and government sectors to take advantage of this technology.
Given MAP-Tech’s recent sea trials for the Roads and Traffic Authority in Dubai UAE, Minister Pavey said “I will be discussing this technology with other government departments to see how this exciting new technology can be used in the transport sector. We have allocated an area off Jarvis Bay NSW for sea trials to further test and demonstrate the technology on the water”.
The products and systems showcased allow end users to undertake applications like Search & Rescue, Passenger Transport, Oceanography and ISR activates in the military to name but a few.
Australian distributor for MAP-Tech, AMI CEO Mr Vince Tranchita said “the technology can reduce the risk to humans in dangerous environments and create new efficiencies for businesses within the maritime sector and we are excited to exhibit the technology at the Sydney International Boat show this year”.
