Rivertrace approves AMI in Australian distribution agreement.

Specialised Water Quality Monitoring Products now available for Australian commercial operators.

AMI stands by its industry leading offering for commercial mariners by adding DNV approved, ISO9001 Quality Assured Rivertrace Limited to their stable of monitoring and environmental products. Signing a distribution agreement for the Australian market, AMI will offer the full range of Rivertrace products, including Bilge Alarms and Monitoring systems that meet IMO and MEPC regulation.

Specialist manufacturers for the Offshore, Commercial and Industrial markets, UK based Rivertrace offer an innovative, environmentally conscious product, minimising the harmful impact resulting from oil contaminated water discharge from ships.

Anticipated to be successful amongst commercial operators with vessels exceeding 400 gross tonnage for Bilge & 150 gross tonnage for Ballast monitoring requirements, the Smart Cell Bilge Alarm offers the mandatory compliance for IMO Resolution MEPC 107 (49, effective 1st January 2005) for the monitoring of fuel oil, diesel and emulsions. Utilizing proprietary Smart-Cell Detector Array Technology, the alarm analyses all three oil substances simultaneously without requirement for re-calibration. Having identified optical cell fouling as a leading cause of monitor malfunction or misread, a manual cell cleaning device is included as standard for simplifying maintenance. Rivertrace also offer auto clean versions and flow switches to options. The flow switch ensures that the flow cannot be shut off accidentally or maliciously.

The Rivertrace range features small, easy to maintain units, and AMI’s Australia wide service network will also offer servicing of the product.

AMI offer spare parts and servicing for IOPP renewal or maintenance of Rivertrace products including servicing to meet IMO 108(49) regulation. From their Australasia wide service network, AMI offer high seas technicians and engineers to calibrate Smart Bilge Alarm equipment with replacement cells, kits and other spares available.
